NOTES: On my thoughts about Safe Words
I am not against anyone using safe words, the BDS&M community includes members with many taste and i am sure some need to use safe words. I personally am interested only in true slaves, those that need to submit and serve. These slaves want to please, and I have found that training is best accomplished with both punishment and reward.
I do not use whips, rods, or canes, no instrument that would leave a mark or mar on the skin. I do use paddles and floggers, but my favorite tool for punishment is a simple leather strap.
I punish a new slave as soon as she is brought home, this proves to her that she is under discipline and subject to punishment. I then punish for disobedience as needed. After training is complete most slaves need a reminder every month or two that they are still under discipline, but usually not more than that.
Following these guidelines in 30 years of living this lifestyle I have never had use of a safe word, and neither has any of my subs.
In my style of domination a safe word is just an excuse for a slave to avoid punishment. That is why I don't use them.

For anyone interested I am posting the rules from my own personal Slave Manual. Fell free to use these as a reference.

A true master understands and accepts the grave responsibility of caring for both the mental and physical health and well being of a slave that craves both bondage and discipline.

A true slave serves with absolute dedication and devotion in heart, mind, body, and soul.

There is no greater love than that of a master for his slave, or that of a slave for her master.

Herein lays a guideline for my slaves. Always remember these are my expectations and as such are subject to change at my whim. Live up to them and be well rewarded, fail and face harsh punishments.

General Rules

NOTE: General Rules apply at all times and in both public and private places, and under both normal and relaxed conditions.

Bondage - Slave will submit to bondage at any time and any place Master desires. Slave will wear any bondage device or restraint Master places on her, and will never try to remove any such device without permission; and will actively assist Master in binding her by taking any position required for bondage. This includes the wearing of collars, leashes, and any other device Master requires her to wear; both in public and in private.

Clothing - Slave must ask permission dress. What Slave may or may not wear is strictly for Master to decide. Slave will wear anything Master commands her to put on, and remove anything Master commands her to take off; both in public and in private.

Grooming - Slave will keep herself clean, odor free, and ready for Master to use to the best of her ability. NOTE: Slave is not allowed to remove cum Master deposits on her without permission and this will not count against her cleanliness. Slave will allow her hair to grow to waist length and wear it in a single pony tail down the center of her back. Slave will remove all body hair below the arm pits, except for a single strip on her pussy. This strip can be no more than 1&1/2 inches wide, extending no more than 3/4 of an inch on either side of her vaginal opening, and no more than 3/4 of an inch above or below her vaginal opening. Slave may use any means to remove the unwanted body hair as long as she keeps herself free of hair and razor stubble. Master prefers her to use an epilator, and this is the method he will use to remove any unwanted body hair he finds during inspection.

Kissing - Slave will always accept kisses with an open mouth, showing her willingness to have her mouth entered and probed.

Master’s Shoes – Whenever Master sits to remove his shoes Slave will kneel and remove Master’s shoes and socks and kiss his feet

Naked – Naked means barefoot, shoes and house shoes are clothing and not allowed. Only a Slaves collar is allowed.

Normal Conditions - Normal Conditions exist anytime Master is present. Under Normal Conditions all rules apply.

Obedience - Obedience is an absolute must. Slave will obey any command given by Master, without question or hesitation. Failure to instantly obey any command will result in immediate punishment.

Orgasms- Master has total control over when the Slave may have orgasms. Slave is not allowed to have an orgasm without Master's permission. Slave must ask for "Master may I please cum?" and receive permission to cum, or she will be punished. There are only five exceptions to this rule, 1 if the Slave is gagged and cannot talk she may cum whenever she would like to, 2 since the Slave is not allowed to take

Positions - Slave will learn all the positions Master requires her to learn; and will take any position commanded, holding that position until commanded to change to a new position or released to move freely.

Punishment - Slave will submit to punishment at any time and any place Master desires. Slave understands that she will be punished for any breach of the rules Master has given her, as well as failure to do as Master commands at any time. Slave also understands that from time to time she will be punished for no apparent reason, simply because it pleases Master to do so. Slave will take any position for punishment that Master requires, and will always say "Thank You Master" when the punishment is over.

Relaxed Conditions - Relaxed Conditions exist when Master is not present. Relaxed Conditions also exist during any time Slave is working on an assignment Master has given her, such as feeding the animals or cleaning the house. Under Relaxed Conditions only the general rules apply, and Slave may ignore rules for in public and rules for in private. NOTE: The change from relaxed to normal conditions should be automatic. If Slave is relaxing at home and Master arrives unexpectedly, Slave will instantly enter normal conditions. If Slave is feeding the animals on Sunday she will enter relaxed conditions when she starts and normal conditions as soon as she has finished. Relaxed Conditions do not allow Slave to ignore her schedule or actual commands given by Master. When Slave makes breakfast naked on Sunday morning, she can make it under relaxed conditions but she will still make it naked; because Master has commanded it.

Sex - Slave will keep her body available for Master's use at all times. There is no sexual act Slave will not preform for Master's amusement. There is no type of sex in which the Slave will not engage, and no quantity of sex the Slave will not endure for Master's amusement. Slave is strictly forbidden to have sex with anyone except her Master. NOTE: Slave is encouraged to have fantasies about sex of all kinds, including sex with other men and women and record those fantasies in her journal; in doing so sharing her fantasies with Master.

Teasing - Slave is expected to tease Master constantly. Her goal is to keep him in a permanent state of arousal and thinking of fucking her. Slave will always dress and present her body in a teasing manner. Slave will touch Master and talk sexy whenever possible. EXAMPLES: Put her hand on his cock while he is driving. Rules For In Private

Definition of Private Places - Master has no concern for the thoughts or opinions of others, and these have no bearing on his decision of places being public or private. Master decides if a place is public or private solely on legal issues. If Master can have a reasonable expectation of privacy, or the other people present can be reasonably expected to be comfortable with the BDS&M lifestyle then the place will be considered private. EXAMPLES: Any property owned by Master and not rented to a third party = private. Any property rented by Master such as a motel room, or cottage rented on vacation = private. A BDS&M club = private. A nude resort = private.

Clothing - Master prefers the Slave to remain naked in private, and will require her to be so most of the time; allowing her to wear clothes rarely. NOTE: Slave will be allowed to wear panties and shorts while on her period; but she will not be allowed to wear anything else, leaving her tits, legs and feet exposed at all times.

Furniture - In private a Slave's place is at her Master's feet on the floor. Slave will not be allowed to use furniture without permission.

Greeting - Whenever Master Approaches Slave, or Slave meets Master in a private place; Slave will quickly kneel and take the Submission Position, as soon as she sees Master and remain in that position until Master releases her to move freely.

Rules For In Public

Definition of Public Places - If Master cannot have a reasonable expectation of privacy or the other people present cannot be reasonable expected to be comfortable with the BDS&M lifestyle the place is public. The vast majority of places Master & Slave visit will be public. NOTE: Master has the final choice of whether a place is private or public and which rules apply, if Slave is unsure she should ask.

Car Rides - Whenever Slave enters a car with her Master; she will sit in the passenger seat, remove her shoes and if wearing a dress or skirt and not on her period she will lift the hem folding it into her lap so that Master has a full view of her pussy.

Clothing - Master must approve all clothing Slave intends to wear. Bras: Slave will purchase and wear only bras that fasten in the front, giving Master easy access to her tits at all times.
