I love the psychological aspects of BDSM and believe you can only control the body if you have controlled the mind... your partner's as well as your own.
I love and need the lifestyle and have been actively involved in the Tasmanian BDSM scene for a number of years now. I have experimented with most aspects of bdsm play and have been fortunate to have had some very skilled mentors in the areas I am interested in, but like everyone I have so much more to learn. My main areas of enjoyment are bondage, restraints, corsets, floggers, paddles, crops, canes, whips, piercing (temporary & permanent), TENS unit, blindfolds and control. The only 2 areas that I stay right away from are scat and kids. My levels of intensity are led by the submissive's reactions as I get my buzz from what I can elicit from them rather than from the use of a particular implement. In other words I can be as sadistic or gentle as the situation calls for. I love humiliation play and also some role plays but stay right away from degradation. My intention is to build up the submissive's psyche, not destroy it. My overall belief is that BDSM should be fun and full of laughter so have found that if the submissive does not get enjoyment then I can't either. I believe the submissive has full control over setting the boundaries and limitations, but once they are in place then I control all within those.
I love talking to others about the lifestyle as how can we learn if we do not get fresh ideas? I am straight but have non-sexually topped other males in a mixed scenario. It is the power exchange that is important to me, not the body that houses that brain that allows that exchange.

11/15/2008 6:53:13 PM: Life has a funny way of throwing curve balls at you when you least suspect it. I was recently flat out finishing my thesis so for previous 6 weeks I had to devote all my time to that and unfortunately neglect my duties to my lovely slave. Even more unfortunately during this time she came to question her submission and I was not able to focus on her enough during that time to offer her the support she needed. Well when I had finally handed in my thesis we both realised that we had come to an impasse where we could not move forward together. It was with a very heavy heart on both our sides that we came to realisation that it was time for us to go our separate ways and she has now moved out and gone back to her home town to be amongst family and friends.Once again a new journey beckons.
7/14/2007 9:26:53 AM: Well life has been great. Have been to and hosted many parties for local bdsm'ers and met many new people interested in the scene. Have been mentoring some and learning from others so all is great at the moment. It is great to be involved with people as they move from only having fantasies to actually experiencing what this lifestyle has to offer. I have been blessed over the years to have met some wonderful people who have assisted in my learning so I am very happy to help any others to reach their full potential in the lifestyle.
11/21/2005 10:17:35 PM: Life is great at the moment. Have found the most wonderful start to summer in sommer *s*. She lives just over an hour away and our respective responsibilities unfortunately mean we only see one another about 3 days a week. She is the perfect partner for me though as she is cheeky as hell *g* and believes in experiencing something before deciding whether she likes it or not. The Tasmanian BDSM group is going from strength to strength as we are building up networks of like-minded friends and enjoying our various events that are organised.
