I get your dilemma.  You’re intelligent, independent and successful.  You can hold your own in any company.  You don’t need anyone’s approval......except you’ve got this damned need to please, to submit, to be owned.  You often wish that need wasn’t there...but then again if you are honest you would not have it any other way.

Well, I am strong and I am constant.  I will remain the one steady thing in your life when you feel out of control, flitting between feeling ultra submissive and thinking “oh my God what am I doing?”.  When you are acting up to try to get a reaction out of me you won’t – except, of course, if you overstep the mark.  And that mark will be very clearly defined and consistently enforced.  You will know exactly where you stand.

A little about me.  I am a high achieving professional - intelligent and disciplined.  My colleagues know me for being calm in a crisis.  I know what to do and I do it.  Sometimes ruthlessly, if that is what is called for.    I am not a screamer.  I have a quiet authority.  But as you know, the right words whispered in the ear at the right time can have the most incredible effect.
