Hi! Im your local awkward-but-friendly, straight-ish cis male kinky person (himher pronouns). Im very new in the Bay Area and excited to explore my new home, and to meet interesting andor kinky people here.
A little about me Im a PhD student most of the time, and also have a tutoring business on the side. I have intense interests (professional and personal) mathematics, education, sociology, cognition, politics, social justice, debate and argumentation, and design. At some point Ill poll my friends to see if Im actually as pretentious as that makes me sound, and post the results here. But honestly, I love talking to people about stuff theyre passionate about-- whatever that might be. I also LOVE talking to people about their kinks-- how they came to understand them, how they experience them, the sociology and politics of kink, etc.
Im a kinda-sorta straight switch, with a particular interest in eroticized asymmetry, high-stakes kinky games, and the architecture of the submissive headspace. I have a lot more experience on the dominant side however, lately I have been more interested in exploring my submissivemasochistic side in a more intense way. I also really enjoy dynamics that involve active switching and real-time role negotiation.
When Im in a masochistic headspace, that generally manifests itself not as an enjoyment of pain, but rather as an enjoyment of being made to do things I DONT enjoy for someone elses pleasure, and a perverse satisfaction in making things worse for myself.
