| Without mutual respect and confidence in each other there can be no relationship. Many people confuse submission for being a door mat and domination for being a bully. In fact it's an exchange between equals to voluntarily establish an unequal relationship which can also be dissolved should anyone choose to do so.
I believe submission is a gift and needs to be cherished and valued and not abused. Within those parameters, I am into mental domination as a caring but strict dom. A sort of 'first among equals'. I like the mental aspect of the relationship as barriers dissolve, trust is established, and domination (and its obverse, submission) flowers and blooms.
