In the world there is nothing more submissive and weak than water. Yet for attacking that which is hard and strong nothing can surpass it.
  ~ Lao Tzu

So many dominants seem to forget (or appreciate) that a true submissive, like water, not only yields and adapts, but also has the power to shape and impact even the most immovable of objects.

It's important to me that a sub understand both her role and her potential.  Without an understanding of each, there is little hope for something long term.

When building a relationship, consider the shape of an inverted pyramid.  I've witnessed so many people who approach relationships thinking that they should be singularly focused and narrow.  Later they try and spread outwards and upwards from there, only to find that the whole thing tumbles over.

Good D/s relationships should be built like an upright pyramid: broad based, balanced, and solid at the base, and then growing up and more focused from there.

I believe that a strong relationship is only possible with time and patience.

As oxymoronic as this statement may sound, I wish I could find someone "normal" on this site.

I long to find someone genuine, intelligent, involved, and patient.  You think you've met these people and then poof! they vanish.

My new personal ad one-liner....

"Looking for the exception to the rule.  Are you exceptional?"
