Being submissive comes from within you. It is not something that someone can teach you. It's just like talent, you either have it or not. There are people, who deep inside, they desire to be commanded. They desire to be ruled over, they desire to be submissive, to have someone they can obey, to have someone in front of whom they can kneel to. There are people, who need to be tied up in order to feel free. Those people are slaves. Search yourself. Question yourself. Look deep inside you. If you feel these needs, if you feel as if you could serve someone from deepest of your heart, if you feel you could stand down on your knees in front of a man and not feel ashamed, yet feel extremely proud of it, than you are a slave. Slaves are humble people, yet they are very powerful. They want someone they can worship, someone who would adore them and who they can adore back. Someone who can mean the world to them. A slave that doesn’t have a Master feels empty, they feel as if there is something big missing from their life, they feel incomplete. Being a slave doesn’t necessary means to be a masochist who enjoys pain. It means to be a person who desire to serve someone, who desires to please. Slaves find their happiness in making others happy.

For a submissive, everything revolves around what she does. But in truth i have never felt that way. i have always felt everything revolves around what He does.
For a slave, however, everything hinges on basic spiritual nature. It's not something i do, it's something that is a part of me just like having physical attributes. It's also something that i can't hide, and will become a source of great unhappiness to me if i ignore it, which i have tried in the past. Yes, i may be obedient, but that's not because i make a decision to obey that specific command. It's just something that comes as natural to me as breathing. i may not even enjoy doing what i has been told to do, but i can no more disobey then to stop breathing. As a submissive, my goals are to come before Him as an empty chalice to be filled ... or a black canvas to be painted ... formless clay waiting to be molded.
Thru this exchange, i know that i will become more than i was before ... You take the raw material, or the blank canvas or the raw gemstone and brings out the inner luster.
In this experience, what many misinterpret is that they assume that He imposes His will upon the sub and she becomes whatever He wants her to be. i would disagree ...
to me, the Master brings out the qualities of submission and in a more pronounced way. Rather then being told to "act" in a submissive way, it is the submissive's role to remove
the veil until who she becomes is the perfect reflection of devoted service and in serving her Master, she finds an inner joy and balance that comes from knowing that with each
veil removed, each boundary crossed, she becomes MORE of who and what she already is.

However I believe one is submissive until they find the right person to compel them to submit to the level of a slave
