Some people say that older men/women are more mature, emotionally and financially stable for serious relationships..

Age does not make you mature or stable.
I don't want to go on a rant here, but...
I don't think it really matters, if you like someone, you like someone. There are limits though, I mean a 40 year old shouldn't be dating a 15 year old. As long as the younger person has a good head on their shoulders and can make decisions for themselves, I don't see a problem.
I think it'd be immature and superficial to not be with someone because of their age.
I myself through my experiences have found that people of all ages are different.
Older people can be just as immature as younger and younger can be just as mature as older.
Age means nothing.
It's the number of years that person has been alive.
And through those years of experience and knowledge, being 24 does not make me young and stupid.
There are people in their 40's that are still lack the knowledge and experience, not just with relationships but life in general.
With all the trillions and trillions of people in the world, every individual person of every age is different.
You cannot generalize someone based on their age.
That in and of itself is immature.
What matters is personality and chemistry, because without those.. They could be the same age as you but if they lack those---It doesn't mean you are right for each other.
