Do you ever wonder about people and profiles and the truth that lies in between. Smart, humorous individual seeks like minded sasquash (how do you speel that anyway?). I mean I guess I don't know. I'm a confident individual who's absolutely sure that what life offers is not what's around me or what I can find here. And yet I write. So math people don't write, but I'm not good everyday at math, and I'm also not a writer. I suppose when you get to the heart of it all people are more than just a simple meeting for trade. Well, there's business and there's people. It's easy to understand both, they each have a purpose. Then again maybe just one. What's the purpose of people again?

Vancouver is great.  Good happy locals.  Not everyone, you can never hope it'll be everyone, but I have met interesting locals and contented everyday people.  A good cross section of what makes a decent society.

Come the day after tomorrow, goodbye Canada ... and lets hope the rest of the world is as decent as our east and west coasts.

Let the games begin.  Hello Vancouver.

Seems pretty rainy ... then again that's what you get for visiting in the winter.  Whatever, walk around in the rain then.  Let the drum rest at home, wait patiently for sunnier days.

A long time ago I was told that generosity is not just giving.  It is giving until it hurts just a little.  This is true.  Over time I've learned that's supposed to be giving to strangers.  Giving to people you care about hurts more, and because of that they give back.

The end result is people who give and get a generously even amount.

If you have more than you need, share what you consider extra.

A follow up TV quote (which raises mixed feelings in me) is that "it is not a sin to be rich.  It is a sin to die rich."

So share.  Whatever you have in excess, share it.  For some it is money, for others it is wisdom or knowledge.  But share everyday, anyway you can.  If for no reason other than to make things better for others.

What is happiness worth?  The general answer is everything.  Still, so many skilled people with trade.  Happiness is not something you trade.  It is given.  I suppose once given happiness what would you offer in trade?

Today a millionaire gave me valuable knowledge, a skilled tradesman gave me a free beer, and a hunter gave me a salmon.

I love happiness and I will trade it for free for as long as I can.  That shit is free, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Ha!  Seems I'm going to walk away from everything here and visit the world.  Starting in New Zealand, why not?

Didn't realize how easy it can be to just walk away from everything you know.  Kinda exciting really.

Cool ... give up everything and travel.  A backpack and a drum.  I'll miss my piano, but hopefully they're all over the world.

It's time to go look.  Life is short, all one can do is follow their heart.  Mine says go look around the world.  Australia seems like a good place to start.

Here's a question.  Anyone out there feel like teaching or learning some music theory?  Who knows, maybe a little of both.

The best advice is often simple.  What makes it complicated is how it is interpreted.  What makes it universal is that all paths lead to the same conclusion.  Then again perhaps I'm just a fool.

Here's a question.  Is it better to travel around the world, or buy yourself a big chunk of land to build and relax on?

Open this one up to the community, why not?

Call me crazy but I think I would like to go camping with a Domme I trust.  Spend the days canoing us around, or finding and chopping wood for the fire.  Cook the food and clean up, spend nights curled up on a blanket at her feet watching the sunset or in front of the fire.  It seems like a healthy balance of hard work and peaceful relaxing.

I have a doppleganger. I mean, everyone does, of course. But mine lives in my town. I hope he's kind, and holds doors and elevators for people, never heckling anyone doing simple tasks. Otherwise the whole system is wrong and someone should ask for their money back.

There it was, just out of the corner of your eye.

Like an elusive cannon.

Peace and calm do not come easy.  It takes time and practice.  I suggest parks and quiet.  Listen to the birds, and sadly ... the cars.  There is a simple joy that can (again sadly) come from cars.

Ah yes, the great journey some call life.  Seems I've recently discovered I may have a dominant side as well.  Probably not fantastic news to the great wide internets, but still something I wanted to write somewhere.  So thanks for that.

Little vague, suppose that's good.  If you want to learn something new everyday, ask questions at least twice a day.

Kindness and generosity are for friends.  Giving is for strangers, rampant, limitless giving.  If you can do that it shouldn't be a surprise when some give back.

Everyone deserves a chance, and if they manage to fail gracefully perhaps they deserve another.

Seems odd but on the way home all I wanted was to walk in to a dominant woman.  Maybe cook her some food, rub her feed, and struggle while being tortured and teased.  What's so hard about that?  Ah well, fuckit, can't win em all.

If you don't really know who you are, what's the best way to find out?

Try new things?  Naww ... couldn't be that simple ... could it?

4/13/2011 5:40:27 AM

I've got this strange, sudden desire to be twisted up into a mean position and be asked to do dishes, laundry, and clean floors all weekend.  Not sure why ... but there it is.
