| And in the beginning, there was a profile. It started blank, but slowly developed as the keen mind behind the computer screen began to type. It grew to a self-indulgent few lines, amusing the writer.
And grew further still, describing her. She was young, she knew, but interested in things she couldn't find in her own circle. She wanted to experiment, to learn things where her friends - who would never understand - wouldn't find out about it.
That was the crux. To find herself in private but keep up the public facade of a sweet, innocent girl.
