| To me, where true D/S lives is in the mind. The body is just its playground. Because of that, I seek first and foremost someone with whom I would have an intellectual connection. Someone who values a sub that will give surrender mentally as well as physically.
In my day to day life, I am a strong-willed, naturally forceful man. I naturally take the lead in group situations, and I am intelligent, cultured, and well-traveled. It is behind closed doors that another, deeper aspect of my true nature comes to light. That is the yearning--the need--to serve a dominant woman. Not just any woman, but someone with the power to break me down, get inside my head, and have me become a canvas upon which she can paint her darkest desires.
What do I seek? Play to begin with, but what I really want is a true connection with someone, and a long-term FLR. I believe that the power exchange and trust inherent in a relationship grounded in D/S is more raw, more revealing, and more powerful than a 'vanilla' relationship can ever be.
