A friend of mine wrote this to their myspace blog so thank you in advance Syr4hyr.  i made a few changes here and there of my own tho.

For those of you who are not offended, please find my definitions and interpretations of the labels and terms used by those who are either part of or in chastise of the utter existence of each and every one of those defined herein.

Some of the terms I will be defining are as follows this is just a list, I will explain my interpreataions later:

While each of the explanations of these terms may be true and correct, please keep in mind that they are only the thoughts and meanings interpreted by me.  While you may disagree with my interpretation, it has no bearing whatsoever in my mindset as I see things today.  Here we go, I will try to keep them short and simple as the list is long 
 

Femme – a girly girl, not tomboyish, not masculine.  A femme woman is one who in the general population, carries herself like any other woman, although she prefers intimacy with women and for the most part butch women.

Butch – a masculine female, who dresses and has mannerisms much like a man and are often mistaken as male.  These women usually prefer and date femme women.

Tweener – a female who portrays both masculine & feminine traits.  One who is tomboyish on the outside & girly on the inside. 

Lipstick Lesbian – it's a woman who carries herself as such and enjoys intimacy with women. Personally this term to me depicts a femme that enjoys inimacy with other femmes.

Pillow princess - This is a woman who likes to be pleasured sexually with little or no touching of the butch who does so.

Soft Butch – a woman who usually dates and prefers femme women and performs as a butch but has softer more feminine touch and looks.

Stone Butch – a woman who crawls into bed for sex with her femme wearing boxers & a tank top and is happy to fulfill and pleasure her in all the ways she likes and enjoys.  She however never want to be touched sexually & is satisfied by satisfying her femme.

Babygirl – a femme woman, usually bratty by nature and often spoiled rotten.  This is a woman who likes to be pampered and taken care of by her butch who is often called "Daddy".

Daddy – these are usually butch women, and I have no recollection of ever meeting one who was not.  This is often a leather lifestyle term.  This is a woman who takes care of and nurtures hys girl and though hy can be hard, hy loves and adores her.

Boi – This one is often another leather lifestyle term although it is not only used in that manner.  These women are usually tomboyish and mischevious by nature.  Mostly fall into the butch category and possess a bratty demeanor much like that of an adolescent male sort of fashion.  Usually, these women are enjoyed by both butches and femmes.  The relationships for them vary, depending on the personal traits of the boi.

Top – this one is a woman who performs sexually like the description/term infers, as a top.  To be more clear, she is the one who performs & satisfies, not the one who receives.

Bottom – This is a woman who performs sexually like the description/term infers also, as a bottom.  Meaning she receives pleasure sexually.

Domme – This is a leather lifestyle term and refers to a woman who controls in a dominant manner while possessing feminine charateristics.  Her delivery of control and domination are usually done in a feminine fashion and most often are femmes.

Syr – This is another leather lifestyle term and refers to a woman who controls in a dominant manner while possessing masculine characteristics.  Her deliver of control aand domination are usually masculine, and they are always butch in nature.

Butch in the streets/femme in the sheets – often same thing as a tweener and a term I am familiar with but do not understand.  Meaning they are masculine in all aspects, dress, demeanor, mannerisms but in bed, they are all bottom & like to be serviced like a femme woman.  There are also femmes who top their butches in the vise versa fashion.

Androgynous – these are women who appear neither masculine or feminine & posses traits of both without leaning toward on or the other.  An example would be a feminine male or a masculine female.

Princess – these woman are basically extra prissy femmes, usually spoiled and get their way.  I have found they are always this way & expect & demand nothing less..

Butch on Butch/Femme on Femme - here is another set of terms that this one totally does not get.  Butch liking butch and Femmes liking Femmes is kinda like being gay twice over Gawd!  I guess they fight on who will go first etc.  These terms mean pretty much as the label states.
