With nearly 25 years in the U. S. Army I love the outdoors. I used to be assigned to the Pentagon and loved to spend my free time hiking, biking, and camping in the mountains of Northern Virginia, Southern Pennsylvania, and Eastern West Virginia. Of course winter camping consists of historic or quaint bed and breakfasts or historic hotels. As a wounded combat veteran myself, I enjoy working with other wounded warriors going on fishing and hunting events on the Gulf Coast and in the Hill Country. 

I like exploring new places, whether in the country or the big city. I like planned vacations, but I really enjoy just getting in the truck and going somewhere. I am also part of a group of individuals from my hometown of Victoria, Texas who put on the Warrior Weekend Fishing Tournament in Port O'Connor, Texas in May for wounded warriors around the U. S. I’m heading up a new event focused on the burn patients. It will be a night fishing tournament that will allow them to fish in the evening and into the late night, in order that they can stay out of the direct sunlight during the day. I also enjoy volunteering and helping raise money to provide a Christmas for needy children in my area. 

From a religious standpoint, I believe in God and I believe that He has been by my side in several combat situations around the world during the course of my career. 

I am divorced, purely because of being deployed all the time in support of the Global War on Terrorism. I know that to have a successful relationship with a woman, you have to be there. Unfortunately that has not been the case. I am planning to retire this year and want to spend time traveling and fostering a long term relationship with someone I hope will be my best friend. I have never been in an abusive relationship and I have a good working relationship with my ex-wife for the benefit of our daughter who is 16 years now.

I am honest, honorable, and loyal. On occasion I have to attend black tie military functions for the Army Birthday and especially the Marine Corps, who were kind enough to keep me alive in Iraq. I have season tickets to Theater Victoria. I enjoy movies; concerts; outdoor activities, especially fishing; shopping for antiques and virtually anything else. If nothing else, I’ve been told I’m interesting!
