I got into the whole dominance/submission realm with a lover a few years ago, and I found it deeply engrossing, if a bit strange.
In that realm, I would describe myself as a sensual dominant. I am thrilled by the drama of surrender, but I consider it primarily a play of the mind, with the body as one entry point. I think submission should be earned and should consist of physical and mental challenges that create a connection between the players. It is a power exchange: the exchange is connecting, and power is a delicious substance, both to relish and to relinquish.
I do love to be in control, and I can certainly be sadistic if it seems appropriate. To claim another person's surrender elicits a desire to conquer. The fun is in how that can be accomplished.
I am innovate and am compelled by the aesthetic of the scene as much as the sensations.
