2014 Update: Since 2014 is coming soon, adding a totally blunt honest preface to my profile. I am NOT seeking anything beyond friends. Well then, why am I here?
Well....to be completely honest, meeting new like-minded friends, connecting with existing friends, intellectual conversation, alleviating boredom, looking at pictures (I'm a complete sucker for great arms/shoulders, and have a special place in my heart for military folks).....not to mention some of the profiles really make me LOL. I'm apt to make friendly comments, or give compliments on profiles when I see something worth complimenting... that doesn't mean I want to own you. I'm an honest person and give credit when credit is due.
As far as online: I hate posers, self proclaimed "Dominates" just make me ill. People, the word is "DominANT" - DominATE is a verb, not a noun. People who approach me who want an online session don't waste your time. If I can't feel flesh I get bored. My play time is much too limited to waste it with BS on the phone or typing a fantasy story to some mystery person at the other end of cyberspace.
I do not judge others, don't judge me by your kink standards.
The constant I live by in to day life, is a code of honor and ethics I expect in both friends, and anyone involved with Me. RACK/SSC - honest, trustworthy, respectful, disease, addiction, and DRAMA free, and a level of maturity that can understand the reality of the situation, communicate their limits, have intellectual discussions, etc.
I am not the "meet and beat" type. People who are in My life as family members, collared, or "play partners", for lack of a better term, tend to remain in my life as friends with or without any type of BDSM activities.

A lot of kinky folk lead a double life of sorts: a public and professional life with our family, friends, and coworkers, and a secret life cloaked in shadows. But we're not superheroes with secret identities - we're kinky people. There's a commonly held belief among us kinky folk that to come out of the kinky closet would mean ruin, to careers, to families, to custodial situations, and more. And to make matters more complicated: even if you decided you wanted to, just how on earth do you come out as 'kinky?'
Today, we'll take a cold hard look at some of the issues surrounding coming out, including where risks are, what it means to come out, and some ideas of how to do it. This day is for anyone interested in this question, from the curious, to those presently wrestling with the question of whether this is something they really want to change in their lives.
