I saw you in a dream one evening, many years ago. I was but a child then, seven, maybe eight years old. I was floating on the ceiling of a house unknow to me when I heard a little girl crying in the dark. As I drew near I could see you had been beaten with a belt that lay on the bed beside you. Your hair was a tangled mess, your face stained with tears, your body covered in welts, my heart pounding out of my chest. You looked at me and spoke these words that would haunt me for the rest of my days, "if you take me away from here I will be yours forever.". Mezmerized by your beauty, trapped by your tears, hypnotized by your words. The thought of someone as beautiful as you, being mine, forever, was more than I could stand.  I reached out to take your hand but as soon as our fingertips touched, the room filled with light and the morning stole you away from me. A wave of sadness washed over me when I awoke to find you were but a dream. I wandered through the day aimlessly, searching for you in every woman's eyes, praying for the night to come so my dreams might bring you back to me. 

For nearly 20 years, dreams of you haunted my sleep. The dream recurred nearly every night, evolving as I aged. By my teens you were no longer a little girl, but had grown into a beautiful young woman, the same tear stained face and welt covered body. And I, no longer your knight in shinning armor there to save you from an unseen evil,  but instead, became your captor, the man who gave you those welts and caused the tears to fall from your eyes.  You no longer wished to be rescued, you relished our time together, you begged to be whipped because you knew the moment I stopped the room would once again fill with light and you would be alone.
