I recently read about the differing leadership characteristics of "hard" and "soft" power, and mine is definitely on the soft side.  That isn't to say I'm not firmly in control; simply put, I believe a sub should desire to serve me without needing to be beaten or punished in order to elicit the behaviour I want.  I tend to suggest and lead rather than command, so you need to pay attention.  If you can't "see" my dominance, that's more about you than me.
