4/28/2010 4:36:39 PM: Earlier this month I had a really wonderful experience with a course offered by BDSM Mentors. Yes, I'm going to sing their praises, and no I'm not getting compensated to do so. I'm an active member in the Los Angeles Community, am a real person, and am writing this because I genuinely believe in the program that they're offering. I think its fair to say that BDSM is quickly becoming the 'next big thing.' The rapid growth in social networking sites such as this one and the continuing prevalence, despite its many misinformed depictions, in mainstream media and adult entertainment, is indicative of a larger awareness of SM within popular culture. As this happens, its important to distinguish one's self as ethical, safe, proficient, and 'real.' My friends at BDSM Mentors have put together a great course with hands on instruction, real life scenarios, and an insight that comes only from loving what they do. These are real courses offered by real people who really live the Lifestyle. We've all unfortunately experienced unsafe and incompetent players. People who think they know what they're doing but instead destroy the moment, and far too often risk endangering us, themselves, and even innocent passersby. More than simply a class, BDSM Mentors is a community that will last with you through your journey as you come into your own sense of your personal Kink, and will raise the bar both in what you expect out of others, and out of yourself. Since my experience I've grown as a person, met some great people, and am working to lay down the groundwork, using their principles, for a strong and successful relationship.
