Random thoughts/ramblings on a Friday night....
Today I was asked why I was still on this site if I wasn't seeking. Sometimes I wonder the same thing. I haven't completely lost hope that the right fit will come along; however, given the experiences I've had in the past year, I must say that I'm not nearly as optimisitic as I once was. It seems like that 'kinky boyfriend' I once wanted is a rare and ellusive beast.
I state in my proifle that I'm not 'actively seeking'. For me, this means that although I might peruse the odd profile, I probably won't send a message unless something really stands out. I answer most messages I get. And sometimes those messages do come from people with whom I think there might be some common ground. I'm open to meeting but am being very very selective. The last three people I have made attempts to meet have bolted out of the blue. Sad that even people in their late 40's and early 50's still play freakin' games....
I've also been told by more than one person that this isn't a 'dating' site. WTF? I was under the impression that this is a niche dating site where people who are kinky can connect. But it seems that nobody wants to 'date' a domme. Mostly I find people are only interested in 'sessions'. My response to that? Seek a pro. Maybe that's why I see so many male subs' profiles bemoaning the fact that this site is full of pro dommes. One wonders which came first - the pro dommes or the subs who only want 'session' type play....
