we've recently embarked on our D/s dynamic primarily focused on spanking

Daddy (hubby) is a vanilla man who it turns out is a quick study at giving a hard spanking. 

The other aspects of D/s are still a work in progress. 
We are blessed with a long distance mentor who has helped a great deal. 
ideally would love to find someone closer geographically.  
Daddy has given me permission to pursue what I need if he can't provide it but my preference is someone who may enjoy sessions with me but allow him to watch and learn.
