I drove to Santa Cruz to spot the  three planets that should visible I the horizon . I went out to greyhound rock park  the tide was too high to climb the monolith , so I climbed another instead . Socked in with clouds, I would see a thing but the crashing surf was enough. I wore a fleece blanket like a cloak  against the scrounge of wind . A flight of pelicans soared by,17 birds.  A group of hippy kids circled a fire and I so wanted to join them . Stopped by the  club  for goth night. Even at 11 , was hammer dead. A mix crowd flooded the place with baseball caps and I called it good. No planets No big goth fest. But no matter it was still a win.  . And I'll have my planets yet.

Sequoia NP to see the big giant trees!   And when we turned around on a trail...a bear. We left and gave him some privacy.   Then on a trail to Moro rock...another bear tearing apart a log for grubs..We waited until he ambled off. Further down another bear...ok that's it. Time to go! Too much fun.  

What an amazing spectrum of response I've had over the last year. Thanks everyone so much. I am equally daunted and excited about the House ANd thanks everyone for input. Yes, I do think it is going to be a matter of 'if you build it they will come.' I've had a few folks really very interested and one or two ready to commit right now. Special thanks to the slaves who have been so willing and eager to give up their lives to come and serve. One or two special dommes have really made the grade but we both knew the timing wasn't right.  One person here on CM proposed a layered slave caste system slaves and underlings,the lowest slave caste . A little complex but downright deviant.   If nothing else, the idea has been intriguing to so many of us here. Thank you all so much again.       And I've been around. History reflects that art/life and science have little respect for our plans. It will take on a life of its own and steer its course.
