I was recently encouraged to reconsider why I was here on CollarMe and this is my answer:

It seems like there are a lot of new people who want to focus on 'activities' and ask questions such as 'what do you like?' or 'what is your favorite kind of play?'
The range of behaviors and activities in BDSM is very broad but there seems to be a common denominator - the activities help to create and foster certain feelings and emotions in each person - and generally, it is not as important that one person likes whips while another enjoys floggers as much as how they feel when those items are used...that's the important issue.
If the feeling that both seek is present to the satisfaction of both, then the specific activity is much less important and a common ground can almost always be found. |
