This is all very new to me - acknowledging my well-hidden submissive tendencies and finding the courage to explore them, admitting my deep attraction to the idea of yielding to one I trust absolutely and finding in his strength the safety to abandon my prickly defenses and revel in pliant vulnerability. I seek the guidance of a strong, confident, and skilled mentor with the patience and desire to help me explore my suppressed longings safely, and the wisdom to nurture the emergence of my submissive qualities while respecting other aspects of my nature. Ideally, I'd like a mentoring relationship with the potential to grow into a deeper and more lasting connection, with shared "vanilla" interests as well.
I'm intelligent, well-educated, and passably sane; single, with no children; articulate, refined, creative, sensitive, sensual, and passionate, but I can be a bit shy and reserved until comfortable enough to lower my guard. I have a dry, slightly twisted sense of humor with intermittent attacks of brazen silliness. I'm occasionally temperamental, often sarcastic, somewhat willful, and a habitual smart-ass, so if "cloyingly sweet", "insipidly docile", or "tediously earnest" are traits you cherish you should probably move on. Look elsewhere as well if you require a complete and immediate lack of inhibition; though I'm open-minded and eager to experiment, my sexual experience thus far has been less than vast & almost exclusively conventional, and my rather "prim & proper" upbringing combined with my slight innate bashfulness usually make even frank discussions of anything sexual a bit unsettling for me - I'm likely to do a good deal of blushing and squirming, at least initially.
I'm not comfortable posting a picture here, but I'll be happy to send one by email when appropriate - a brief physical description will have to do for now. My eyes are golden-brown, my hair is a medium chestnut-brown, straight, thick, and mid-back length, my complexion is fair, my figure is well-proportioned and decidedly feminine, and I'm generally considered more than moderately attractive.
I value intelligence, wit, self-assurance, a wicked sense of humor, passion, trustworthiness, an affectionate nature, stability, honor, depth & strength of character, well-rounded interests, and a good sense of perspective. Chronic pompousness, pettiness, boorishness, or narrow-mindedness all leave me cold. Physically I'd prefer someone 5'10" or taller (I'm 5'8" and like to wear heels), at least reasonably attractive and fit, and within the age range of 35 to 48 or so. As mentioned above, I'm looking for a real-life relationship, so location within about a 2 hour drive at most from Center City Philadelphia would be best. Also, I really don't think I'd be any good at poly, so please be "single and unattached".
I've never written a personal ad before, and it was difficult deciding whether to go with the sort of self-indulgent "stream of consciousness" rambling that I personally find interesting and revealing but many consider tiresome, or stick with the dry "just the pertinent facts" approach often preferred for its brevity - amazingly, I seem to have accomplished neither, although I think I've managed to work in some less desirable features of each.
