The Unseelie Court is a polyamorous household with multiple years of BDSM experience. So many people have different attitudes about collars. Some offer "levels" of collars such as a collar of consideration, a collar for training, or a lifetime collar. Some consider a collar the symbol of a lifelong partnership, others see it as a fashion accessory. Some don't care about it one way or another.
We aren't a formal Leather family, so we don't go in for "consideration" collars or "training" collars. In our Household, there are only 2 types of collars -- heavy collars designed to hold up during play and the collar a sub wears on a daily basis. Since Spyder makes chainmail, there may be only one collar pulling double duty. In most cases, the collar designated for daily wear will look like jewelry and be fit for public appearance.
Although any sub may wear a fetish collar during play, this is always a temporary thing. For us, the collar is a symbol of our commitment to building a family with our sub(s). We view it in much the same way we view our wedding rings. If you want a collar from one of us, you should see it the same way. There are no velcro collars in our House.

I've always loved horses. When I was a child, the Black Stallion books were among my favorites. My parents even took me on a tour of one of the historic Thoroughbred farms during one of our many family vacations.
I've never been in a position that would allow me to learn much about horse racing. I don't live near a track and, until a few months ago, I couldn't afford cable or satellite television. Now that we own a home and are able to afford some of the amenities, I've decided I want to start watching more horse races.
Neither of us cares much for the usual sports; football, basketball, baseball, and hockey just don't do it for us. There are a lot of NASCAR fans here, but again, it's just not our thing. The Lord of the Court thinks I'm crazy, but channels 404 and 405 are my new best friends. He can go out and play with his little PVC and foam swords -- I'm going to be watching the ponies.
Anyone who wants to join our household had better love the races. I'm also willing to simply chat with any other horse racing fans out there. |

Counting down to the Run for the Roses -- the most exciting two minutes in sports. Rachel Alexandra demolished her competition in the Oaks yesterday. That filly's stride is amazing; long, graceful, she ate up the track and scarcely broke a sweat. The Racing Secretary has Dunkirk and Pioneer of the Nile evenly matched at 4-1 and Friesan Fire at 5-1. Now that the favorite, I Want Revenge, has been scratched, it could be a very close race. I like Pioneer of the Nile to win. We'll see how it goes. |

It seems we're not dominant enough for the extreme players who like things such as brown showers  or to be locked in a cage for days on end. On the other hand, we are apparently too dominant for everyone else. We want 24/7 TPE, we want our sub(s) to do things like clean (because every adult should pull a fair share in the household) and cook (because no one wants the Lady of the Court in the kitchen. Seriously, it's pitiful. Epic Fail.), and we're sadistic enough to enjoy certain types of edge play such as knives or rape-play scenarios. And we don't play casually. We've played casually in the past, but we just don't enjoy it as much as having a relationship with the sub. The better we know someone, the more fun it is for all of us.
