Im Tomkat, (I wont be offended if you call me tom), and I am one half (better or worse half, not sure) of a kinky couple active in the fet scene for quite a few years now.
I myself have been on the scene or aware more or less all my adult life, since I started going to Violate and Haymarket Bar munch in Edinburgh in the late 90s. I came onto the scene as submissive back then, but after a gradual growing of self-confidence and a life changing event at the age of 22 that gave me a final push, I made that switch to D type.
Activity in the Scene
After a few years simply having fun and helping out with the Glasgow Munch, after a chance meet with a friend, we decided to have a go ourselves. Thus was born Mystyx Fetish Club back in 2003 which ran about three years.
After a short while I found myself involved again and am one of the founding members of Rebound in Scotland, still running to this day.
More recently in Newcastle, I was a co-host of the Liber8 pre event meet up as well as a member of the Liber8 event team, most often found hosting the dungeon area.
As well as Liber8, I also helped host a more serious players event in Newcastle, PlayL8. Where Liber8 was a big fabulous fetish dance fashion event, PlayL8 was more focused on the BDSM play aspect of the scene and lifestyle.
Due to unfortunate circumstances the Liber8 and PlayL8 events are now also fond memories of fantastic times and hard graft in the past.
BloodFury and I also hosted North East Workshop events in Darlington, a series of peer supported educational and knowledge sharing events. We had a few of these and proved to be very much successful, although unfortunately weve had to drop these into hiatus just now due to various real life things.
I dont get out to events and munches and such as much as I used to and very much fluctuate between deciding to do something about this and get out and about or to not bother. I dont know yet. It may become a new years resolution. Well see.
Partners
My soulmate, my best friend, my wife, my life partner is BloodFury. She is an amazing woman and truly a force of nature. The relationship BloodFury and I have is a genuinely open and honest relationship. We are together, we are each others primary partners and nothing will ever change that.
We are comfortable with the concept of having secondary or multiple partners and are delighted to be able to have this level of poly relationship and be happy for each other.
Outside of kink
I enjoy rock and metal music, and try to get to gigs and clubs when I can. After an introduction to it from my wife, Im a regular attendee at WGW (I have no recollection of beach parties or maffball-b), and tend to have an interest in pretty much all aspects of alternative lifestyle, from music and literature (love Dracula!) to tattoos, piercings and body mods, although due to work commitments I am unfortunately restricted to just a little ink for now.
Love a good TV series, enjoy a bit of football or rugby on the telly. Very proud of my little garden and love pottering about in it. Enjoy fixing or making things with my little selection of power tools and stuff. I enjoy a good whisky or real ale occasionally, and like a social pint.
We occasionally host DVD nights with friends, kink and non-kink, usually action or thriller type movies and if BloodFury has her way, 80s movies.

Okay, so I have chronic nocturnal epilepsy. It will never go away. Ive made my peace with this. It is largely controlled by medication and I can pretty much live an absolutely normal life through it.
The only problem is, quite rarely though (talking maybe once every couple of months) I can have an epileptic seizure in my sleep. Usually if Im feeling very stressed, run down or if I have a cold coming on. Thing is though, unless Im sleeping with you, it wont affect you.
It can leave me with the most horrifically intense hangover next morning, but I mostly have a routine to deal with it.
Im not embarrassed or ashamed about it and will freely talk about it.
