What is queening? What the heck are "protocols"? How do I tie someone up? Should I let her/him/them whip or flog me? If I want to be controlled, do I have to give up any say in what happens? Are there legal repercussions to this lifestyle? Am I a sicko for even wondering about this?
If these are questions that you have asked yourself, then The Thorn Bush would like to invite you to join us for coffee and conversation. We meet on a weekly basis (Saturdays) at a number of different public locations, primarily in the Independence and Country Club Plaza areas.
The Thorn Bush is a relaxed, friendly group of people in the Greater Kansas City area that meets weekly for discussion of various topics related to the BDSM lifestyle.
We are open to all sexual orientations, gender identities, races, and relationship statuses. Our principle focus, beyond socializing with like-minded people, is to mentor those who are new to the life; to help answer the questions that we listed above and many, many more.
There are many aspects to this life, and you will find a knowledgeable, experienced group of practitioners here. It is our hope that you will become one of those people as time goes by.
Requirements for attending our meetings are simple: an active interest in exploring this lifestyle regardless of preferred role, sexual orientation or gender identity.
Naturally, we also expect common courtesy to be extended to everyone present.
If you would like to know more about us, simply drop us a note here and we will be happy to answer any question that you may have.
For those who would like to come to the next Meet & Greet, we will provide you the location no later than Thursday night of that week.
