| It saddens me to see how many people get a negative view of what can be a beautiful lifestyle if understood properly. This is mainly due to all the wannabes who roam and infect a site like this one with dirty pictures, thinking that BDSM is only about sex. It is about so much more than that. BDSM is a lifestyle based on deep mutual trust and respect. The Dom should respect the sub as much as the sub respects him. Even more so, as the sub is offering the Dom everything she has: body, mind and soul. This gift should be appreciated and cherished to the fuller extent. Obscenities and offending words and names do not have their place in this lifestyle. The lifestyle has no place for sadists. A sadist tries to hide his lack of authority by exercising extreme pain and torture and being vulgar. This is not what a true Dom should be like. He should be firm, calm, polite and should have natural authority in him and if needed (only if needed) exercise proper punishment but only as a tool not as an end in itself. Bursts of anger and insults only show a weak and repressed personality which can only express itself through humiliating others. This is despicable.
