Are you new here? Would you welcome some advice?

Do please post a real profile. You can always come back later, to update it. At least tell us what you don't want. You'll get less rubbish! This goes for age, sex, physique, marital status, location, orientation, tastes, etc. (It's even OK to mention ethnic origin: your instinctive sexual tastes don't make you a racist.) So why not tell the world I am not interested in ... ? If you still get junk mail, delete it.
Remember that your published ID invites anyone to write to you, unless you tell them not to. The writer has made some effort. If the message is offensive, or ignores your clear negatives, or says nothing meaningful, you can and should bin it: the sender should have known better in the first place. Otherwise, however, you owe him or her a reply. Deleted Unread is very rude indeed. If you quietly filter certain messages out, without telling the world, that is,even ruder.

End of lecture. If you have questions, by all means raise your hand.
