I'm a professional coat and tie guy during the week working at a medical research organization.
I have trained subs from the new and curious through experienced who had an abusive prior Dom and they needed tender care in their retraining.
My tools include (so I'm told) creative tasks and creative discipline. I use extensive obedience training, kneeling, spanking and other discipline plus rope.
