it is neither a request for marriage nor a desire for confession.

Thank you! I have gratitude to the ones of you who have been so generous with compliments and I would like to express even more gratitude to those who take the time to ask questions. It is a sign of depth and intelligence when someone asks rather than making assumptions. I also am enjoying the fun offers for confession and marriage, but that is really not quite what I am here for. I won't say it's not a possibility, though. I think that saying never is a mistake. Anything is possible!
My screen name is not literal
When I speak of "church" I am referring to a mental place, a sacred place, a place of reverence, connection, and spirituality. A place of worship. A place where the drudgery of the day to day world is shut out for a time while we are able to re-connect in a different place. It is a direct reference to the way I view and experience D/s which is a sacred, intense, and special connection between two people. It's alchemy. It is also rare and beautiful, exquisite, and, when allowed to develop in an organic way, it is perfect.
