BDSM is an exchange of power, trust, respect, empathy and love.
My take on BDSM is mix of influences. I read the Gor novels in high school. My military experience has given me some powerful insights. I am also influenced by the European school that says there is a hierarchy into which pretty much everyone falls. I found The Marketplace series by Laura Antoniou very compelling.
Strict is good. I believe in RACK.
Two people need to have mutual interests outside the Scene. That being said, I am the only bleeding heart liberal Marine officer there ever was. Reagan was a horrible fraud and that will come out more and more as time goes by. Most Marines think Reagan hung the moon. I am sort of an FDR liberal. I think the government can and should be involved in peoples' lives. It shouldn't be a crutch the way the Great Society was in Johnson's time. But government can do a lot of good.
I have a very well developed and wry sense of humor. Lots of off the wall strikes me funny. There is humor in most things. If you didn't 'get' my humor, there'd be little purpose in us getting together.
I do feel that the rules between Master and slave should be compelling and fun for both
