I say in my profile that I offer spankings as punishment, but I'd like to expand on that.
More accurately stated, what I am offering is discipline. Spanking is a part of discipline; spanking is *not* discipline in and of itself.
What, then, is discipline?
Discipline should be a positive force in a sub's life. It should provide her with the framework to be the best person she can be - to become accountable for her behaviour, to build her own self-discipline, and above all else, to be happy.
And that comes from a Dom who encourages her growth - who listens, is patient, respectful, nurturing, and is cognizant of his own faults. In short, someone who is worthy of a sub's trust.
With that trust comes the freedom to submit - to know she is safe, and that her Dom has her best interests at heart, and that she will be punished, firmly but with care, if her actions warrant it.
This is what I am offering when I say I offer discipline. |
