| I'm a former US Marine, living in China for 9+ years. I am based in Shanghai but travel Asia frequently for work. I visit the States (midwest, occasionally the coasts) every 6 months or so. My Chinese is good and getting better but I'm a perfectionist and am always studying. I love to learn. I'm also a very good instructor. Most of my subs have become interested in the life by my introduction. Fairly athletic, I enjoy rugby, martial arts (kickboxing, judo). I'd rather play than watch. I believe it is important to keep abreast of politics and current events as an expat. I read the NYTimes daily and watch CNN & BBC. I love computers and the Internet. I enjoy music and my tastes are quite eclectic ranging from classic to jazz to hip-hop. I dislike country music. I enjoy museums as I love history. I also love art (modern especially) and am very opinionated about good vs bad. Not looking currently but open to conversations with like-minded folks as well at meeting new friends. Cheers
