Is it ok to just be friends right now?

I'm a 38 year old Dom living in Seattle. I been in the lifestyle since my early 20's but I've taken the last three years off for personal resigns. I kind of went into a period of semi-retirement.

I'm looking to get back into the scene but only slowly. I'm looking to make friends in and around Seattle who have the same interests. People who just like to get together for coffee and a few laughs.

I generally find that I'm usually better friends with women than with men although I do have a lots of guy friends. I just seem to get along better with women for talking, laughing, etc.

I'm married but separated. My wife is living in another state right now. I don't know the status of what's going on between us. This is the main reason I just want to make friends. I wouldn't want to mislead anyone.

Physically I'm 5'10" and have some extra pounds on me. I'm working out 4-5 times a week and looking to get back into good shape.

I'm a nice guy. Good sense of humor. Kinda raunch, dry and sarcastic. I really love to laugh and enjoy making others laugh (and if I can make you shoot coffee out of your nose then my job is done!)

I'm a great cook and do love to show off my skills for friends.

Some of my other interests are reading (fantasy, scifi, historical fiction and alternative fiction). dining out, going to the movies, going to comedy clubs, working out, occassionally and going out to bars. I'm also a bit of a history geek. I can watch the History Channel for days on end without ever changing the station.

Lots more I can tell you about myself if you're interested. Fee free to write.
