I was speaking with someone in the lifestyle recently and our conversation turned to the lifestyle. He said how much he enjoyed the play. I asked if it help him connect with the other person on a deeper level to which he answered, “No, Play is just play.” His answer not only shocked me it upset me. I have always considered myself in a “relationship” with anyone I played with. I always want to know about the person. What they like, dislike in and out of the lifestyle. This attitude that “Play is just play” goes against the lifestyle I have participated in over the years. Even with couples it should be a “relationship,” there needs to be friendship, trust and some amount of mutual concern for each other. Otherwise may as well just be fucking someone! |
