Below is A LIST OF ETIQUITTE for newbies and people who are finding their feet in the WORLD OF BDSM.
ETIQUITTE IN CLUBS
DO NOT interfere with couples or groups who are doing a scene together. Not only is it bad manners to crowd them or try and push in, but you can easily spoil the scene for them! If they want you, you will be invited.
DO NOT touch or talk to a sub during a scene, unless asked to do so. Touching or TalkingShouting to a sub on the edge of sub space, even with the best of intentions, can ruin their whole night!
DO NOT talk to, or distract, a Dominant during a scene. Their job is to concentrate on what they are doing! Likewise, do not stand near a scene and CHATTER which can be distracting for both Dom and subSlave!!! There will be chill out areas where you can chat away without disturbing anyone who is playing together.
DO, however, feel free to talk to people who are not involved in a scene. This is a great way to meet new people learn new techniques check out new equipment ask for help etc. The vast majority of people are happy to help and advise when asked at the appropriate time. But remember to allow people time to relax and come down after they have been playing.
DO NOT walk between a Dominant and a submissive whilst corporal punishment is taking place. Whips and canes etc. are designed to hurt!! If you step between people playing you will NOT be where they are meant to land and could well end up seriously hurt! Likewise be very careful if you need to walk behind a Dominant as they are swinging back. If you are hit accidentally, you will have ONLY yourself to blame.
What Makes up a Good Master?
Note In this article, the use of the words Master and slave is non-gender specific. For expositional convenience only, the Master is referred to as he and the slave as she.
Self control and motivation
A good Master must be in control of himself before he can exert control over another human being. He needs to have a good balance between vanilla and SM, as well private and professional life.
Honesty and consistency
A good Master should be true to his word and a living example of what he teaches. He should have the ability to uphold his personal honor and remain true to any agreements between himself and his slave.
Communication, communication, and communication
A good Master needs to be able to express and articulate his emotions. Having the ability to talk and openly discuss anything under the sun is an integral part of any relationship. Without open (transparent) and honest communication there is no base on which trust can be built. However, communication is not a one-way street.
Compassion
A good Master has the ability to see and understand the emotional aspects of his slaves spirit and psyche. He is aware of the multitude of things in life that can affect a slave physically, emotionally and mentally. A good Master is righteous, and shows respect and true love for life.
Leadership and mentorship

Masters are teachers and leaders that need to have the ability to lead and to inspire others. A good Master needs to be able to exert this control in a respectful and intelligent manner. This means that he gives clear direction, firm goals, consistent rules, unambiguous orders, etc. This also includes providing corrections and discipline when necessary. Further, he takes responsibility for his own actions and assumes responsibility for the well-being of his slave. He respaspects his slaves needs and limitations - both physically as well as emotionally.
A good Master should also be able to support, teach, and mentor.
Being a leader and mentor means that he needs to have patience.
Knowledge and willingness to learn
Having control of someone elses life is a tremendous privilege and responsibility. It is therefore important that a good Master makes ined decisions for himself, his slave, and their relationship. A good Master needs to understand his slaves needs and identity, even beyond the roles of their structured relationship. It goes without saying that a good Master should be skillful and knowledgeable in any of the SM practices he engages in.
