I believe that a collar stands for something more than a sign to others, it a life long commitment from the slave to be owned, a from a Mistress to take this person and own then for the rest of their life.
An owned slave is under the control of it's owner, and puts the trust in them to look after and control them. This should be your outlook, accepted and not about conditions or limits.
I see modifications such as tattoo's piercings and marks as a sign of your ownership and your masters ownership of you, your mind, body and soul.
