Oh, yeah, I like movies. I figured Id add that because one sees so few profiles where someone says they like movies.
Broadway musicals and live theatre. I have, in fact, fourteen posters from musicals framed and on my walls. No, I am not gay. Not that theres anything wrong with that.
Musical tastes? Well, lately Ive been listening to non-fiction audiobooks and showtunes (see above about gayness ... NTTAWWT), but when I do turn to actual songs, my taste runs from Harry Chapin to Katy Perry, with an occasional stop at REO Speedwagon ... but REO is one step away from driving around at 300AM with Air Supply blasting, so thats when I typically seek professional help.
On the BDSM-side, Ive always had thoughts along these lines, from a very young age, and discovered what it was in my early teens when I found the Anonymous section of the local bookstore and what kinky devils the Victorians were. Several shoplifting expeditions later, I had quite a collection of king, caning, nettle-slapping tomes to go through. In my later teens I found online communities - dial-up BBSes, because Im an old fart - and came to understand a bit more of how things were done in real-life today, rather than the imaginations of 19th century perverts.
On the weekend after my 18th birthday, I flew to Boston for my first scene, because that was the online community Id become comfortable with and Orlandos leather scene was mostly gay at the time. Ive looked back a couple times since and regretted it each time -- this is who I am. Both the control and the play are integral to my personality and denying that has generally been the wrong thing to do, so I dont anymore.
