I'm a caregiver looking for his little one... I am more than willing to discuss the things that have drawn us to this site, but, first, here's a bit about my other interests.

Philosophy, psychology, theology, law, biology, biochemistry, history, and sociology are my primary academic interests. I am presently a graduate student in global health and will receive my doctorate in the fall of 2016 or spring of 2017 depending on how fast I write my dissertation. In addition to being a student, I also teach undergrads about health, nutrition, infectious disease, and public health depending on what the department needs.

In medicine, my primary interests are in neurology and rheumatology. The subject of autoimmune disorders that impact the brain and central nervous system is very close to my heart for personal reasons. I find infectious disease fascinating and think it amazing how quickly a virus or bacteria can adpat to inhospitable conditions. Creating mutations within a few generations such as efflux pumps or beta-lactamase rings to inhibit antibiotics is amazing. The use of exotoxins to destroy a host before the immunologic response can fully mobilize show that, even as a large being, we're (in my opinion) really just a collective of interdependent cells and not a single organism as most people view themselves.

For the subject of law, I like the area of constitutional law best. It's not flashy like criminal law or lucrative like most private sector legal fields, but I think it is one of the most important areas of law in the United States. I'm a big believer in the First Amendment (but this only protects one from the government and not the private sector), the criminal law Amendments (Fourth, Firth, Sixth, and Eighth), the Reconstructionist Amendments (Thirteenth through Fifteenth), and the abolition of the poll tax via the Twenty-fourth. The Warren court is my favorite era of the Supreme Court especially with cases like Griswold vs. Connecticut establishing a right to privacy.
In politics, I'm fairly liberal. By no means am I an activist, but I am more than willing to engage in formal or informal debate. As someone who was raised by a single mother (widowed), I quickly jump in when someone starts a family values lecture (or anything involving that a nuclear family is needed to be healthy). My mom went back to school after my father died and earned not only her undergrad, but her Ph.D in psychology. My exposure to grad students at a young age taught me not to base someone based on sex or race as most of the brightest in the group were not WASP men. When she was in school, money was always tight, so that taught me to be careful with my finances, but more importantly, it taught me to be sympathetic to those with little money. I support women's rights. I believe in rehabilitation and education instead of incarceration for most nonviolent offenders. I believe that kids should be taught an education and not a taught to pass a standardized test. I believe that society should do what it can to aid the less fortunate. Finally, as Costner said in Bull Durham, "I believe that there ought to be a Constitutional Amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your present Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve. And I believe in long, slow, deep soft kisses that last for three days." (in reality, I'm not big on porn at all, but I don't like to edit quotes).

I love to travel both domestically and abroad. Over the last several years, I went to Australia, Cozumel, and Roatan. I've made two trips to Europe in the last year and saw Amsterdam, London, and Paris (twice). I'm hoping to go to Machu Picchu in Peru or the Red Sea area of Egypt on my next trip, but I'll probably end up going to Nigeria or Cameroon first to work on my dissertation.

I enjoy the theatre (especially of the musical variety) and appreciate other forms of art.

I am a very competitive person, so games are something that I love. I am good-natured about defeat, but will give my all while trying to win.

Anyhow, that's a little bit about the non-kink side of me... If someone is able to make it through all that stuff, then maybe she has the patience and intelligence to be a little princess in whom I might I be interested. Being a caregiver, I find that the kink and the non-kink have a great deal of crossover. What others might term roleplay or ageplay is simply who I am. I'm not pretending to be a Daddy to my Little Girl or Baby Girl... it's an inherent part of me. I will love, cherish, and adore my little one, but above all I'll be a patient partner and parent. There might be times where I need to be stern or instill discipline, but that's part of being a caregiver. However, the best part of being a caregiver is knowing that I'm the world to a special, special baby. I look forward to finding the right one and being the center of her universe... just as she'll be the center of mine.
