I'm what you'd classify as a plausible macrophile. In a fantastical setting, I can be anywhere from realistically short to about 6" tall, depending on a wide array of variables. In reality, I have a weakness for tall guys (especially those who enjoy their greater size), which for me—at just 5' 7" or so—usually starts at 6' and up. For me, it's the sight of a large, imposing being that makes me swoon to some degree. Every now and again, I also enjoy wearing larger clothes and shoes to give the impression that I've become smaller.

Macroscale Society

My particular interest is rather specific, but if you're curious, here it is. I've often pondered a life in a parallel universe that is fairly similar to the one in which we live. The difference is that in this parallel society, stature is status—the taller one is, the more power they have. As such, not all males are deemed men: those under 6' are considered more like human pets, while those 6' and up are deemed Men. Human pets are still human, and still function like most humans (e.g., not treated like an actual animal). They work, provide services and earn money, and have their own outside lives when allowed. However, because they are [usually] owned by the bigger and stronger Men, they're regarded as weak and permanently non-threatening, receiving occasional dismissal and condescension, though they may be respected for what they do exceedingly well. Ownership would be conveyed by being made to wear a collar. Men have far more privileges than their human pets, of course. They too work and provide services, though they hold more powerful positions (and since stature is status, earnings would tend to correlate with one's standing, both for Men and human pets). They're allowed to lead seemingly regular lives without anyone imposing their will upon them, though all members of society are still held to legal standards. Men dictate what goes on in day-to-day life for both themselves and their pets. How does this relate to me? I think it's because I'd like to experience a Man looking down at me, reminding me that he's not tall but rather I am short or tiny (even asking me how short I am), calling me diminutive names, and saying things like, "aw, you're cute when you play with your test tubes," with a condescending head pat or ruffling of my hair, or, "it's so adorable when you try to stand up for yourself—especially when you can barely do it!" if we get into a debate of ideas and I try to make my case. I sometimes imagine being made to go for a walk on a leash with my tall owner, and we encounter another Man/pet pair: us pets just staring at each other and making silent small talk while the two Men make eye contact and have a conversation literally over our heads as they ignore us and focus on their exchange. Or, if I'm addressed by another Man, being nudged from behind and hearing my owner say, "go on, runt, answer Him," and maybe being told to "squeak up" if I speak too softly. I could probably write a book or two based on my vivid dreams and thoughts on the matter. Unfortunately, being as short as I am, I tend to not attract the attention of Men, but small steps can help bring about a large change. Hence my presence here: it'd be nice to interact with taller guys who enjoy their size and status in life. It'd be interesting to learn how to live as a smaller guy in a world run by the large and powerful.
