I just recently started exploring the BDSM scene (Jan 2012), although I've always been privately curious about it. The more I tried to pinpoint the exact time that I became interested, the more I realize just how far back my sub & kink tendencies go.
At the moment, I am interested in exploring many types of play, in particular rope play, caning, and knives. I always loved watching people do methodical, meticulous things, so that coupled with a healthy exhibitionist tendency make shibari a huge turn-on. The biggest surprise to me, lately, has been how much I enjoyed sensual caning (though right now I have no interest in corporal caning).
I have extensive training in martial arts, I am a type-A ENTJ personality, and I used to believe that I should take on a Domme role. However, I have discovered that this just means when it comes to play time, I really enjoy the feeling of giving over control to someone else (consensually of course). I love seeing the the glee in a top's eye as they relish taking over. I adore the psychological intensity and release of D/s play, and would like to explore this further, perhaps in short 2-day slave scenarios. However, how about trying to get to know me first? Preferably in the public Scene? This seems like a good way to see whether or not we actually click first.
Another important note: Besides learning from and developing close relationships with play partners, I'm also seeking a long term, real life, BDSM-inclusive relationship. The Dom I'm looking for should understand and respect me as a fully-functional, independent, and thriving human being. If the word "feminist" triggers negative thoughts in your mind, then I'm not the sub for you. I've recently come to understand that this does not inherently contradict that desire to explore slave, use, or abuse scenarios, since they ultimately revolve around choice and consent. This realization has emboldened me in recent months to try and explore even more.
