i was drivin' down a long country road with my neighbor, we stopped at'ah roadside market, bought sum vine-ripe tomatos. we got lost on tha way back, stopped and asked an old man with lonesome, lonely, longing eyes for directions. he was taken aback by our extended conversation that ensued as he indulged himself in an obviously welcome diversion from his days of reminiscing his past. strangers... a welcome sight... he passed along the directions. His eyes welled up with tears following his sagas of yore, our chance meeting obviously effecting his memories. The details recalled in his mind shone fondly in his facial expressions. as he pulled out the worn handkerchief to wipe his tear-ridden eyes, we sped away. i don't have time for people that pull out handkerchiefs.
