Hello all, I am new to this game. A very close friend of mine told me that he met the woman of his dreams on this sight so I thought I would give it a try.

I am a Retired United States Navy Officer, CWO3 Aviation Ordnance Artisifing Expert. Basically I built, maintained, Aircraft Uploaded/Downloaded all facets of Ordnance for the Navy for 26 years. I made significant changes in the Navy through the years as I moved up the ranks from E-1, Aviation Ordnanceman Airman Recruit all the way to E-7, Aviation Ordnance Chief Petty Officer. I then stayed at that rank for two years until which time I submitted a package to the board for selection to Chief Warrant Officer, (Mustang Officer) I am happy to say that I was one of the top selects for the Navy in 2003 as a result of being awarded the 1999 Senior Sailor of the Year for the USS ESSEX LHD-2, 2000 Commander Naval Surface Pacific Fleet Aviation Ordnanceman of the Year, and 2000 Association Of Aviation Ordnanceman of the Year, John Fin award Runner Up. I later reported to the USS Nimitz where I was assigned as the AIRGUNNER Weapons Department G-1 Division Officer. This was my crowning achievement during which time I was one of the Highest Awarded in Naval History in my field.

It was at the end of my tour onboard, and my third deployment in four years when ICON Production owned by “Mel Gibson " ( yes the real Mel Gibson ) was allowed to come onboard and deploy with the Battle Group to film a true life documentary about life onboard a Naval Carrier at war in Iraq. I understand that they filmed over 25,000 hours of footage. Well to cut it short I am happy to say that I am the most viewed Weapons Officer in the entire ten hour Documentary named “Carrier ".

You can view me in action by logging onto PBS.org, and then enter in the search engine the word “Carrier ". Once the search results come up go to the second one, (not the one in the white shaded box but the one below it) when you select it you should see Sailors on the deck of the USS NIMITZ, CVN-68 in Dress Whites manning the rail. In the upper right section you will see an Orange shaded box that says; "View Full Episodes" select that box and you can watch all ten hours of the Documentary.

I was informed that Mr. Mel Gibson named episode two after a comment I made during one of my interviews called "Controlled Chaos". Quote; "Our blood runs a thousand miles an hour, you ready".

The resent tragedy in my life was when I was diagnosed in late 2006 with type 1 Bipolar Disorder and PTSD after serving 14 of 26 years at sea. I lasted 26 years without this ever happening and I was so angry during this time in my life because I was never given a proper retirement ceremony on the way out. You would think that after all the accomplishments in a mans career they would at least give you a proper farewell. Not me, I received my first and only Unfit for Duty FITREP and was asked to go home.

It took loosing a million dollar fortune 500 company, a DUI and leaving my wife of 23 years, two step sons that I raised as my own from 6 & 10 top 33 & 30 and six beautiful grand kids in Temecula, CA before I turned my life over to God and everything has now changed for the better.

I now reside in Plano, TX and I have opened my own Construction Company which is kicking ass. I make $2,500 a month in just retirement alone that will never end and it is being increased to $3,500 a month in April 2009. If that isn’t enough I will be receiving royalty from a natural Gas well every month in the approximant amount of $6,000.00 to $10,000.00 a month for the rest of my life. So let’s see, $13,500 a month, full 100 percent medical for life and that of whom I chose to marry in the future and my children if I choose to have any. Not bad I must say.

I am enclosing several pictures of myself and places I have traveled along with some photography work that I have recently done.

By the end of 2009 I will be traveling the world and seeing all the places I did not get to visit during my Naval Career on my own Visa not the Governments.

Very Respectfully
Dr. Gunner
