So I've been on CM for a few years now and little has come of it. I was stoked when I first found this place because it was like finally, somebody made a facebook for freaks. How excellent... But what I've found so far is that 99% of the profiles on here fall into one of the following catagories: fake profiles, fake pics, fake people, internet nonsense, real people who unfortionately live way too far away, or real people who are so jaded by the nonsense they have to wade through on here that they don't appear to sign on much or bother to answer their mail if they even check it. Sigh...
However, I recently met a fabulous young woman off of here for some dinner and conversation. It was our first meeting offline after a week or so of texting and talking on the phone. We'd been friends on here for a good year or two but hadn't said as much as hello up until a few weeks back when we began emailing here on CM. It was incredibly refreshing to meet someone real, intelligent, beautiful and experienced off of CM just as I was about to totally abandon it and delete my profile. I don't know where if anywhere it's going but it definitely felt like it had the chemistry for a good friendship and I've learned alot already from talking with her about her experiences being into this lifestyle here in wny.
I was sure this site (which had started out with such potential like so many things on the internet) had devolved into nothing more than a crass murky pit, void of any light or solid substance... Like I said though, thats only 99% of what I've found on here, lol... There was one other domme I met offline after speaking with for a bit on here and there are a few people I talk to who are out of town but other than that CM just hasn't really been the social networking site I thought it was...
Having moved back to wny about two years ago after living out on the west coast for a while, I've found it tough meeting like minded people locally. This lifestyle just doesn't seem to be as open as it is out west. That dinner the other night renewed my belief though that there are real people out here and I'm hoping to find more of you on here...
I'm lookin for real life, hanging out, playin, chillin, whatever, whatever, with real people who are in the wny area. Friends first, play second, relationships evolve on their own at their own pace. Can we just get to know each other? Lol, idk, its a crazy world and its full of zombies and pod people... Real, down people are hard enough to find anymore these days, lol, especially kinky ones...
So yea, if yer on here and yer real, talk to me. I'm not givin up on this profile yet. I am going to take the very good advice I got from the beautiful Princess who graced me with her conversation at dinner the other night and set up a profile on FL because it does seem more like what i was hoping CM would become in terms of real social networking for people into a very niche lifestyle. Hopefully those of you who are real on here are on there too and it will be easier to communicate with less internet noise there.
I'm also looking into the RKS, an organization I'd been hearing about since I moved back to wny but never really knew much about or how to get involved. Having met someone who was involved was excellent as it broke the ice for me... I've noticed a few other local bondage and kink themed groups in buff, roch, and syracuse on FL and I'm looking forward to getting more involved in the scene and meeting more like minded friends. So again, if yer real, and local, and still on here, say hey...
