I've had this fetish for silky things, especially silk scarves, for as long as I can remember. Even before I knew what sex was. It was always discouraged, both because women don't want kids messing with their silkies and because of the obvious implications of a boy being interested in girly things. But I am the type of person that being made feel guilty about it made the urge even stronger.

Then it got even worse when I discovered sex. Scarves were out of fashion, only weird girls and old ladies wore them. A couple of times I would open up to girls I was dating but it seems like we would always get to a point where they would start getting self-consious or even freaked-out about it. Not that I blame them, it is really embarassing for me to respond the way I do.

My fetish was pretty dormant for most of my childhood. I wasn't really interested in the things I could find around my house. The women in my family weren't into silky things that much. Nylon slips and panties are nice, but just don't push my buttons like real silk.

When I was in junior high, I was baby-sitting for a family where the wife was quite a bit younger than most of the women in our neighborhood. She was also quite fashionable. I couldn't resist going into her dresser drawers. I was so scared, I didn't touch anything at first. She had wonderful things. A whole drawer of beautiful scarves, and two of lingerie, one for everyday, the other for fancy.

I finally got bold enough to touch. I was so careful,  just lifted a couple of things to see what was underneath. But she could tell right away.  When I came over the next time, she sat me down and started asking me questions. I was so scared, I was sure I was in big trouble. But looking back now, I realize she was trying to figure out how much I knew about sex (I was just starting to get a glimmer).

First memory - My first recollection of having an issue with silk was when I was about three years old. I was at a birthday party, with a bunch of people I didn't know, except my mom. We were going to play "Pin the Tail on the Donkey".

I didn't know anything about the game, and all I remember today is the mom trying to blindfold me with a beautiful silk scarf. I can remember just freaking out as soon as she started to put it on. It wasn't that I was being blindfolded, it was how it felt being tied over my face. The texture.

My mom was understanding at first, but then got annoyed. She told me I had to play the game, or we would go home.

So we went home. Later I played pin the tail on the donkey many times, and never had a problem.

But it is still the same with scarves. :)
