The energy between two individuals must be organic in all interactions...if you aren't aware of this we are not likely compatible.
I believe in having my cake and eating it too...and feel my lovers should have the same. I'm currently involve with a married couple, I have a female lover that lives out of state, and I have a Domme. I am actively dating (not fucking, dating) a couple other people as well. Everyone I'm involved with knows exactly what I'm doing and with whom...that is the way I've found is best to approach the poly lifestyle: lovingly, respectfully, and completely transparently. We are all very cautious, get tested regularly, and play safe. I don't believe there is a limit to how much love any one person can receive, or more importantly GIVE.
