It's Leather Week in San Diego, CA!! This first weekend was
outstanding - so colorful, joyous and free. i haven't felt so normal
in a very long tme.i was a first time judge of the Ms. San Diego
Leather 2008 contest - which was an honor and a blast. Congrats
to winner Donna Tello - she's going to serve our community very
well and look good doing it. i met a ton of new Leatherfolk and
look forward to getting to know them better. I was especially
impressed with The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. They're a
charity group who serve as a go between for the various factions of
the GLBT community. They also dress up in white face makeup in
nun garb with lots of sparkly touches. i thought they all looked
fabulous and were so fun to talk to. PollyAnal Buttercup was a co-
judge with me and my favorite Sister. Love love love these guys!
Now i get to do it all over again next weekend with the men!
Unfortunately i don't get to be a judge with a front row seat - just
lots of drooling and cheering. The only bad thing (for me) about
this past weekend was all they hot sexy black Leather men
i met are gay! Hoping to meet more straight men this weekend. |

The process of finding the best Master for me has been so frustrating. i've encountered someone that seemed too good to be true and alas, He was. i hate when they suddenly disappear without a word. What is wrong with people who act like someone they aren't and get one's hopes up? Why is that necessary? Do they get off on it or what? Please explain this to me if you have any clues. |

God bless all the San Diegans effected by the Fire Storm. It burned 1/3 of the county and half a million people were evacuated - but this was no Katrina. Makes me proud to be a San Diegan the way people here came together to help each other. We know how to throw a disaster baby! LOL
And once again - the first responders are my true hero's! The fire fighters, cops, Natl Guard, Red Cross, Arnold, Mayor Sanders and other pols who showed great leadership, as well as all the volunteers who helped everyone!
And yes I'm fine, but plenty of folks lost everything. I live in the city so it was just smoky here and raining ash like it did back in 2003. |
