Men are enthralled at the idea of being taken by the hands of a Dominant woman and the opportunity to become a better man through unbiased communication, training, reassurance and recognition. In the beginning you are filled with adoration and appreciation for being chosen by such a superior woman and are willing to worship every inch of My existence. Your submission is at its introductory peak as you thrive on recognition and reward for basic tasks such as opening My door, not interrupting, or doing what is asked of you. All simple actions you felt were taken for granted by others or viewed as having no value in their eyes. You find yourself willing to go that extra step in every thing you do for your Mistress. After all, we are cut out to notice every detail of every action you take, evaluate it, and correct it if necessary. The greatest fear is to disappoint Me, but your desire to be acknowledged overrides any insecurity felt. I instill confidence by accepting shortcomings and not exploiting them. I point out mistakes and include how to correct them instead of setting one up to fail and repeat them over and over due to lack of guidance. I can be empathetic to situations however, I will not tolerate these situations to be used as excuses and will assist as you learn to become intolerant for excuses to your own behavior as well. You begin to direct your energy into more productive thinking patterns. Instead of 'what-if' and other coulda, woulda, shoulda guesswork, you drop your indecisiveness and become empowered by thinking things through, evaluating consequences and acting rationally to create the greater good. You no longer ponder a multitude of scenarios in your mind of what might or could happen or guess what others reactions could be. Some men spend years doing this, in fear of finding their own happiness, they allow themselves to get broken down a little more inside each day. Through proper submission, knowledge is gained of what is required, accepted, or necessary and you act accordingly. This ripples through all of life's aspects, actions become deliberate, standing up for beliefs, learning to harness the passion that drives you as a force instead of an object. The true submissive continues this dialect fully aware that learning is a lifelong project. These individuals are referred to as having a truly submissive heart.

There are men who are taken in and become captured by the spell. Experiencing an equivalent of lessons and instructions, yet stumble upon their application or misuse their intent. They consider their Mistress to be the origin of their empowerment, and as their life improves they mistakenly make changes for wrong reasons. Somewhere along the way there was a disconnect, usually caused in avoidance of taking responsibility, and always kept well concealed due to the fear of disappoint factor mentioned above. The problem lies in believing your passion is driven by your Mistress. By doing things for her, you believe she decides your fate. You leave your happiness, worth, and confidence in her hands and base your decisions on making her happy instead of bringing her happiness due to the decisions that you make. You get lost in the lesson of empowerment and being able to acknowledge that the force that motivates you comes from within, and find yourself struggling with co-dependence and lose site of what submission is. By understanding that it was your efforts that made life so smooth, it will be easy to continue such a path in the case she is no longer available. Unable to take responsibility for who you were, you accredit her with who you've become, therefore avoiding any responsibility for what you might be or could turn into. Thinking subconsciously that you have obtained a scapegoat for blame and a reason not to be held accountable for your own actions one usually attempts to turn the tables or attempts to reverse the submissive role with their Dominant. The most destructive and dangerous devices that humans can use are power and control. If a persons character is not build upon a solid foundation of self-realization, compassion and virtues – any attempts of controlling another or exerting power over them for self-centered reasons has the most horrific and devastating effects – in their own lives. Obviously things will not be pleasant for the Dominant, but a true Dom has the tools to handle such a situation mentally and its after effects emotionally as well. The submissive who presented themselves on false pretenses will eventually blame the Dom for bad decisions they made just as they used to accredit them in their good choices. Behavior patterns of control freaks are text book as well as the verbal give aways such as “I need you in my life/can't live without you”, “you brought this on yourself”, “no one can serve you or make you happier than I can”, etc. They will regress back into the untrained, problematic person they were originally before seeking out a D/s relationship. Ultimately they will fall into progressively worse states – unable to hold themselves accountable for their own existence.

The worst case scenario is the continued attempts of this submissive to project himself as a Dominant to other submissives. The trust and integrity of the D/s relationship is ruined and the fragile nature of the new submissive scarred as the pseudo-Dom places blame on the unsuspecting sub for his own mistakes and holds them accountable for his misery. We know the possibilities of this entire scenario, we've all seen it. Unfortunately it is a gradual condition at its beginning and usually goes unnoticed until it explodes and is too late. Hopefully this person successfully seeks out some sort of therapeutic solution that he can more readily relate to in helping himself come to terms with his problems. Obviously this won't be found through another person, it must come from within the self. It is the duty of a Dominant to recognize the alter effects occurring in someone due to submission and discontinue that aspect of their relationship until it is more manageable and done for the right reasons. In most cases the Dominant and submissive will need to cut all ties to one another. Any connections typically evolve into a further act of co-dependence or enabling.

So what concern is this for you? If you are calling yourself submissive and seeking a D/s relationship ... look closely at your current relationships. Are they healthy? Are you happy? Are you looking for an escape route? Do you think that a D/s relationship is going to provide you with any answers?

Update for all you little piggies:  No more responses, requests, or applications for new slaves/submissives will be accepted after May 25th.
