Looks like spring has sprung, allright... It has been gorgeous here the last couple of days!
I took my son fishing on the Big Lake yesterday - boy, it sure felt good to be back out on the water! I love being out there, with the wind and waves, the sun and sky - makes you respect your place in the planetary order somehow...

OK - I'm *almost* ready for spring... just gotta get out fishing a couple more times before the ice starts thinning out...

Margaritas on a sun-drenched beach would be nice about now, wouldn't they???

Late Saturday night/early Sunday morning was one of those awesome times...
The snow was coming down like thick gauze curtain, and the wind died for a few minutes, leaving the air still and silent. As I looked out over the field, into the woods, I watched the clouds of my breath as they were gobbled up by the silent snow. The silence was deafening, as if the entire world was anticipating some momentus event.
Experiences like these are so few and far between, that the efforts of seeking them are repaid with the fleeting bliss of the moment...

Summer's ending... Fall's first nip was in the air this morning as I was walking the dog. I'm looking forward to seeing the leaves change color and getting out in the woods!
