My name is David Mabon. I am 45 years old, and I am Dominant. Over the past 15 years, I have been active in this lifestyle, I have learned that the following is what differentiates those that are Dominant from those that claim it.
First and foremost, a Dominant is always a Gentleman. There is no excuse for being impolite or rude to others.
Second, a Dominant must always be in control. If he is unable to control his own emotions, he is in no condition to be attempting to control another.
Third, a Dominant is always honest. To lie is to show you cannot be trusted and a submissive must be able to trust you to respect you.
Fourth, a Dominant accepts responsibility for all his actions. Everyone makes mistakes, accept it and admit the fact that you messed up.
Fifth, a Dominant expects but does not demand respect. Respect is earned over time.
